Authorization

NACS provides two authorizations for sexologist in the Nordic countries. These two authorizations are NACS Authorized Clinical Sexologist and NACS Authorized Educational Sexologist. In the top menu you can read more about the two authorizations and the criteria to achieve these.

If you have questions about your previous authorization and how to apply for the new one, please contact your national association.

All applications for authorization must be submitted to the NACS Authorization Committee (NACSAC). Authorization decisions cannot be made solely at the national level; all applications, including those not approved nationally, must be presented to and reviewed by NACSAC.

If an application is not granted authorization, the applicant has the right to submit a complaint. Complaints are handled by the NACS Board.

In cases where a conflict of interest exists, the national organization involved shall not take part in the Board's discussion or decision-making. Its role will be limited to presenting the case and the grounds for the denial. The final deliberation and decision will be made by the NACS Board without the participation of the involved national organization.

Complaints must be submitted in writing to the President of NACS and copied (cc) to the President of the relevant national organization. Instructions for submitting a complaint will be available on the NACS website, along with guidance for members on how to proceed.
